Engagement of Guest Faculty at Government Polytechnic College Budgam for Nov-Dec 2024 Session

Government Polytechnic College Budgam has announced an opportunity for eligible candidates, domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, to engage as Guest Lecturers for the upcoming academic session running from November to December 2024. This engagement is purely on a temporary basis.

Application Process

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications as per the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of all relevant qualification certificates. The application should reach the office of the Principal of Government Polytechnic College Budgam by or before 16th August 2024 by 4:00 PM.

Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria

1. Civil Engineering

• Minimum Qualification: Graduate in Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Points:
  • Basic Qualification: 80 Points
  • Higher Qualification: 05 Points
  • GATE/NET/SET: 05 Points
  • Interaction: 05 Points
  • Teaching Experience (Polytechnic Diploma level or higher): On a prorate basis (01 point for each academic year).

1. Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum Qualification: Graduate in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Points: Similar to above.

1. Automobile Engineering

• Minimum Qualification: Graduate in Engineering/Technology in Automobile Engineering from a recognized university.
• Points: Similar to above.

Terms and Conditions

1. The engagement will be purely based on guest faculty norms and only for the session from November to December 2024.
2. Selected candidates must submit an undertaking/affidavit authenticated by the first class magistrate indicating that they will not claim for the continuation of their service, and the agreement may be terminated at any time without notice.
3. Remuneration for the Guest Lecturers is Rs. 750 per lecture, with a maximum limit of Rs. 20,000 per month as per Government Order No: 89-JK-dsd of 2021.
4. In case of the post being filled by permanent faculty, the guest faculty will be disengaged immediately.
