Subject: Advertisement for the posts of Constable in J&K Police, Home Department
The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has received an indent from the Home Department for filling up vacancies under direct recruitment. The details are as follows:

- Domicile Requirement: Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before the cut-off date of submission of online application forms, which is 29.08.2024.
- Number of Posts Advertised: 4002 (subject to increase or decrease as per the concerned Indenting Department)

Special Age Considerations:
- Every Ex-Servicemen having served in the Armed Forces shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from his actual age. If the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed, the candidate shall be deemed to satisfy the age criteria.
