Overview
The Faculty of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry at R.S. Pura, Jammu, is inviting applications for the temporary position of Project Associate-I on a contractual basis. This role will be part of an ad-hoc project titled “Biodegradable multi-unit intra-ruminal devices for long term time-controlled pulsatile release of nutrients supplements & de-worming drugs to enhance production and reproduction in cattle,” which is funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.
Position Details
- Number of Posts: 01
- Emoluments: Rs. 25000.00 + HRA @ 9% for candidates without NET; Rs. 31000.00 + HRA @ 9% for candidates with NET qualification.
- Essential Qualifications: M.V.Sc. (Veterinary and Animal Sciences). NET qualification is compulsory for all, including PhD holders.
- Desirable Qualifications: Preference to those with experience in blood collection from cattle/buffalo, molecular techniques, etc., with evidence of publications.

Interview Details
Eligible candidates will be interviewed on 25 June 2024 at 10:30 AM in the office of Director Research, SKUAST-J, Administrative Block, Chatha-180009, Jammu. No separate intimation will be given, and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Other Information
- The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project; there are no claims for permanent absorption.
- The appointee can be terminated at any time without reason.
- Applicants currently employed must provide a no objection and experience certificate from their current employer.
